Senior Cardiac Physiologist
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum.
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm, 9am – 5pm, 10am – 4pm rotational.
Location: Maidstone

Job Summary:
KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting. We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Echo-based Physiologist to join our Cardiology team as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist. This role is ideally suited to an experienced BSE accredited Cardiac Physiologist who has a desire to move into the Interventional Suite.
As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary Cardiology team, liaising with Consultant Cardiologists in the provision of a full range of outpatient cardiac investigations. You will also use your skills to support cardiology consultants in our Cath Lab.
Role Responsibilities include:
- carrying out a full range of outpatient Cardiac Investigations including ECG, Stress Tests, Echocardiograms.
- Rotating between the Cardiology Outpatients and Cardiac Interventional Suite Service within the Cath lab ensure all service needs are met
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures/protocols within the cardiorespiratory department
- Assisting with the day-to-day revenue recapture and cost control process
- Establishing a robust inpatient / outpatient diagnostic service
Person Specification:
- Be a qualified Physiologist (BSc or equivalent)
- Hold post qualification BSE accreditation.
- Have post qualification experience working within Outpatient Cardiology Service.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills, you will easily engage with colleagues and consultants to build effective working relationships.
- Be easily able to build rapport with patients, displaying an enthusiastic and passionate attitude.
- Experience working in a Cath Lab is desirable but not essential.
